LiveLink™ for Excel® Installations

If you have licensed LiveLink™ for Excel®, several tools are accessible from a COMSOL tab in the Excel ribbon for working with a COMSOL model from an Excel worksheet. You can, for example, extract model definitions and results. You can also change model definitions in the worksheet, then update and re-compute the model.

Whenever you open a COMSOL model from Excel, a COMSOL Multiphysics Server is started where the model is loaded. The data transfer between Excel and the COMSOL Multiphysics Server application is performed using a TCP/IP communication protocol, which accepts only local connections.
