Use the Principal Stress Surface plots in 2D (

) to plot the principal stress and principal strain in structural mechanics models. The values of the principal stresses σ1, σ2, and σ3 are the eigenvalues of the stress tensor, ordered such that σ1 > σ2 > σ3. The same applies for the principal strains ε1, ε2, and ε3. The plot also shows the corresponding eigenvectors using arrows. Add a Deformation, Filter, or Color Expression as needed. Right-click a 2D Plot Group or 3D Plot Group to add this plot from the More Plots submenu.

In the Coloring and Style section, the Arrow base settings is not available because it is not applicable when plotting principal stress or principal strain eigenvectors.
