• A new Add Multiphysics window provides a list of available predefined multiphysics couplings for the selected physics interfaces (previously available only in the Model Wizard). Adding such a multiphysics coupling to a model components adds the corresponding multiphysics coupling nodes under the Multiphysics node. The Add Multiphysics window makes it easier to create multiphysics models incrementally.
• You can now edit expressions in the Equation View nodes’ Settings window for the main physics interface nodes and for coordinate system nodes.
• The Range dialog box now includes an option to create a logarithmic range, for example, for a frequency range.
• It is now possible to copy and duplicate View nodes in the model tree.
• With applicable time-explicit physics interfaces in the Acoustics Module, RF Module, and Wave Optics Module, a new Absorbing Layer node is available under Definitions. It adds an absorbing layer (sponge layer) to a time-explicit simulation. The absorbing layers work by combining three techniques: a scaling system, filtering, and simple nonreflecting conditions.
• For models in user libraries added in the Application Libraries window, the Open PDF Document button will be available if there is a PDF file with the same name as the MPH file in the same directory.
