New Application in Version 5.2a
Vector Hysteresis Modeling
In this application, a 3D simulation employing the Jiles‑Atherton vector hysteresis model is used to solve case 3 for the TEAM problem 32 published by the International Compumag Society. This case is especially designed for testing vector hysteresis modeling. It consists of a three-limbed ferromagnetic core and two coils placed on its external limbs. The coils are excited by AC voltage sources that are phase shifted by 90 degrees with respect to each other. This creates a magnetic field that is rotating in some regions of the core. A vector hysteresis model is necessary to accurately simulate the time-dependent field.
