New Functionality in LiveLink™ for AutoCAD® in Version 5.2a

•	The LiveLink™ interface now supports AutoCAD® 2017.

•	The LiveLink™ interface now keeps track of the filename and path of the synchronized document. The filename is detected during the first synchronization. For subsequent synchronizations, the same file is used as long as it is open in AutoCAD®.

The LiveLink™ interface now automatically generates selections during synchronization based on material assignments in the AutoCAD® file. It detects materials assigned to layers, solid and surface objects, and even to faces of an object. In the COMSOL model, domain or face selections are then generated based on whether the material is assigned to faces and surface objects, or solid objects, respectively.

With a COMSOL Client installation of LiveLink™ for AutoCAD®, it is now possible to launch a COMSOL Server interface in a separate window by using the newly added Connect to Server button. From the COMSOL Server interface, it is possible to browse, and run apps, including those that are based on geometry synchronized from AutoCAD® using the LiveLink™ interface.
