LiveLink™ for SOLIDWORKS®

New Functionality in Version 5.2a

The LiveLink™ interface now keeps track of the file name and path, as well as the configuration, and display state, of the synchronized document. These properties are detected during the first synchronization. For subsequent synchronizations, the same properties are used, as long as the specified file is open in SOLIDWORKS® and the specified configuration and display state exist.

•	For assemblies, the LiveLink™ interface now automatically synchronizes parameters that are selected in the component files. Previously, the parameters in the components had to be selected from the synchronized assembly file.

With a COMSOL Client installation of LiveLink™ for SOLIDWORKS®, it is now possible to launch a COMSOL Server interface in a window embedded into the SOLIDWORKS® user interface by using the newly added Connect to Server button. From the COMSOL Server interface, it is possible to browse, and run apps, including those that are based on geometry synchronized from SOLIDWORKS® using the LiveLink™ interface.

Backward compatibility with Version 5.0

The default value for the keepfree property of the LiveLinkSOLIDWORKS function is now set to on. Previously, the default was set to off.
