Fatigue Module New Functionality in Version 5.2a New Fatigue Model for Fatigue Prediction in Compressive Load Cycles: Dang Van The Dang Van model has been added to the Stress-Based fatigue model family. The new model incorporates, via the hydrostatic stress, the sensitivity of the compressive state on the fatigue prediction. The Dang Van model is therefore suitable for evaluating compressive load cycles and can be used in, for example, contact fatigue. The model can predict fatigue development prior to spalling that is observed in bearing and rail applications. Fatigue Model Parameterization Most of the fatigue model setting options have been parameterized. This improvement implies that parameters and variables can be assigned as fatigue model settings and can be evaluated in a parametric study. Only two options cannot be parametrized: the Number of mean value bins and Number of range bins in the Cumulative Damage feature.
