New Applications in Version 5.2a
Perforated well
Perforated wells are commonly used for oil or gas production, because of their advantage of a better control of the well by sealing perforations individually. To model the nonuniform fluid flow of such a perforated well, a full 3D analysis is required.
This application allows you to simulate the Darcy flow to a perforated wellbore for different well, reservoir, and fluid properties to predict the fluid intake at each single perforation.
Two-Phase flow column
A multistep outflow experiment for two-phase immiscible flow through porous media gives information about the flow and transport characteristics of the fluid soil system.
This application computes the capillary pressure and effective saturation for different fluid phases and soil combinations in different experimental setups. The relationship between capillary pressure, effective saturation, and relative permeability are based on the van Genuchten retention model.
